CORPORATE EVENTS VENUE & MEETING SPACES
The Dancing Bear property boasts a variety of meeting spaces in order to accommodate varying group sizes, and also has break out cabins and rooms available for smaller groups. We are best for organizations with 60 or fewer attendees in the classic classroom style setting.
The Dancing Bear Event Center, built in 2015, is a beautiful corporate event venue that has cathedral ceilings with open wood beams and a towering stone fireplace, and accommodates up to 85 people for seated and plated dining. With the rental of our adjacent restaurant, we can accommodate up to 150 guests with a buffet or plated dinner, while our lovely cocktail space holds up to 125 guests.
Weather permitting, the space opens up to a sprawling patio that overlooks the event lawn and breathtaking Pavilion. With the assistance of tents and use of our outdoor lawn and deck we can accommodate up to 250 for a larger corporate celebration. We also have a fire pit that’s perfect for roasting s’mores, while bonding under the stars.

CORPORATE EVENT CATERING
The cuisine at Dancing Bear Lodge truly sets us apart from other event venues. Our culinary team, under the direction of Chef Shelley D. Cooper, offers an Appalachian menu steeped in traditional and regional flavors. Fresh ingredients from our garden and the local area often make their way into the fabulous fare.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, with breaks and full bar service, are available in a private setting.
Our 36 acre Smoky Mountain resort property has 21 luxury 1 & 2 bedroom accommodations which offer a maximum capacity of 25 separate bedrooms and baths. We have a fitness center and 2 miles of trails on property as well.
Amenities include digital flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, in-room Apple Valley locally roasted coffee, and a gourmet breakfast of house made granola, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and juice. Many of the accommodations offer a fireplace, whirlpool tub, hot tub, deck and/or kitchen.
OFF SITE ACTIVITIES
There are a variety of team-building activities at our back door thanks to Mother Nature and our Townsend hotel’s close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. These include guided hiking and fishing, bicycling, tubing, zip lining, golfing, horseback riding, clay shooting, and narrated motor coach tours of the national park. There is also a ropes course nearby. We are happy to assist in coordinating a team activity for your event based on your preference.
