Springtime Celebrations and Events in Townsend!

Greetings to all our Friends of the Bear!

Spring is slowly but surely on the horizon, and we’re approaching the time when things pick up here in town. Starting off, for the whole month of March, the Foothills Quilt Guild will have a showcase at the Townsend Visitor Center. Throughout the month, the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center will be offering classes on herbal teas, syrups, and remedies. On March 23rd, the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association will host an event at the Heritage Center, with another storytelling event scheduled for April 27th. It’ll be a great opportunity to gather around and take part in a cherished Appalachian tradition.

Looking ahead to April, we will be hosting our annual Easter Sunrise Service and Easter Brunch on the 20th here at the Lodge. A few days later, Townsend’s big Bronco celebration kicks off from April 23rd to the 26th, and the Smoky Mountain Fiber Fair will be held on April 25th and 26th.
