The Dancing Bear Event Center & Lodge right outside of Maryville, Tennessee is the perfect location. Nestled on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, this event venue proves the perfect backdrop for attendees to get to know each other, focus on company goals in our private meeting spaces, and find adventures that can only be experienced in the scenic Great Smoky Mountains.

MEETINGS

The unique property at Dancing Bear offers a variety of meeting spaces to accommodate groups of various sizes, including break out cabins and rooms for smaller groups. Our grounds are ideal for organizations with 60 or fewer attendees within the traditional classroom-style setting.

Constructed in 2015, the Dancing Bear Event Center is a gorgeous corporate event space boasting cathedral ceilings with rustic open wood beams and a towering stone fireplace. This space accommodates up to 85 guests for seated and plated dining experiences. With the additional rental of our adjacent restaurant, we can accommodate up to 150 guests for a buffet-style meal or plated dinner, while our charming cocktail space comfortably holds up to 125 guests.

The venue opens up to a sprawling patio which overlooks the event lawn and pavilion for breathtaking views. Weather permitting, the outdoor lawn and deck area can provide an idyllic setting for even larger groups of up to 250 guests. Attendees can gather ‘round the blazing firepit to roast s’mores, and bond beneath Smoky Mountain night skies.

We also provide A/V support for corporate events and Maryville company retreats.

DINING

Beautiful spaces aside, what really set us apart from other venues is the exceptional cuisine at Dancing Bear Lodge. Under the direction of Chef Shelley D. Cooper, our talented culinary team offers an Appalachian menu steeped in regional and traditional flavors. The fabulous fare is often comprised of locally-sourced ingredients and ultra-fresh produce straight out of our on-grounds garden.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with breaks and full bar service are available in a private and convenient setting for company retreats and events.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Our 38-acre Smoky Mountain resort property features 21 rustic comfort 1 and 2 bedroom accommodations, which offer a maximum capacity of 25 separate bedrooms and baths, all situated on a beautiful 2-mile mountain trail system nestled against the backdrop of Smoky Mountain National Park.

Room amenities include digital flat screen TVs, WiFi, in-room Apply Valley locally-roasted coffee, and a breakfast of house-made granola, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and juice. Many of our rooms also offer fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, hot tubs, decks and kitchenettes.

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES

Your group can step right outside our back door and enjoy a variety of team-building activities thanks to Mother Nature and our Southeast Tennessee hotel’s close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Activities include guided hikes, fishing, cycling, tubing, zip lining, golfing, horseback riding, and even clay shooting! We also have narrated motor coach tours of the National Park for those interested. Furthermore, our staff is happy to help coordinate activities for your group based on your particular interest.

Dancing Bear Lodge has partnered with Smoky Mountain Guides for on and off site activities, offering corporate team building classes and workshops.
